She was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Lehi, the daughter of George Ellis and Margaret Davis. She was married to Willis Taylor, they were divorced.

Death Claims Orem Man At Residence Mr. Ridge OREM George Willi am (Bill) Ridge, 73, 1695 S. 800 Orem, died early this morning at his home after a long illness. He was born Nov. 1, 1893, in Middlesbrough, ngland, the 'son of Robert and Florence Kemp Ridge.

He married Mr. Ridge Sarah Maude. Andersen, Nov. 15, 1916, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He received his early education in the Church of England.

Following his high school he worked as an apprentice roll turner under his father in Dormer Steel Works. He came to Utah in 1913 and made his home with his sister. He worked in the Knight Woolen Mills and later for the Utah Railway and Union Pacific Railroad. After his marriage they made their first home in Provo. From 1917 to 1922 he worked at the Pittsburg Pot Company during the construction of the Ironton Steel Plant.

He moved to Springville where he continued his employment during the operation of the Ironton Steel Plant. From 1931 to 1933 he owned and operated the Bill Ridge Plumbing Company in Springville. In 1933 he was employed at the Columbia Geneva Steel in Pittsburg, Calif, In 1944 he returned to Provo and worked for Geneva Steel until his retirement Sept. 30, 1960. He was a "steelman" for 27 years.

Mr. Ridge was an active member of the LDS Church, having served a mission with his wife to Bridgeport, where he also completed a work mission. He held the office of High Priest and was active in genealogy and temple work. His hobbies were finhing and hunting and contracting. Survivors include his wife of Orem; three sons, Robert E.

Ridge, Long Island, N. Ralph W. Ridge of Orem, and Paul J. Ridge, also of Orem; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Wilma) Lassen of Provo; nine grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren; one brother, Alfred Ridge of Orem.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Orem 12th LDS Ward, 1450 S. 800 Tuesday at 11 a.m, with Bishop Richard W. Robins officiating. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday prior to services.

She also- graduated from the Boise Business University in Boise, Ida. Mrs. McGee was employed as a secretary for the McNeil Lumber Company in Caldwell, Ida. After her marriage she made her home in Caldwell and continued working while Mr. MoGee served during World War IL.

In 1947 they moved to Provo where they lived until her death. She attended Utah Trade Technical Institute for dental assistants. She loved gardening and flowers and was an excellent seamstress. She is survived by her husband of Provo; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Karen Anne) Aster of Murray, and Suzanne Adele McGee of Livermore, two grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Hall of Nampa, and Leland Hall of Madras, three sisters, Mrs.

Laura H. Bouillez, Wilder, Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Raymond of Caldwell, and Mrs. Don (Clara) Mercer of Huston, Ida. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Fork Man Dies of Heart Illness SPANISH FORK -Victor H. Thurgood, 38, died Thursday in a Provo hospital of a heart. ail- ment. He was born Dec. 29, 1928, in Provo, the son of Heber W.

County OKs Budget SALT LAKE CITY (UPI) A 1967 budget of $20,853,727 was approved by the Salt Lake County Commission Thursday.

The new budget was unanimously approved after the outgoing and in-coming county commissioners met behind closed doors and sliced $518,000 from the proposed expenditures. County Auditor David P. Jones said the cut reduced the tentative levy of 21.2 mills to mills. This is a 2.05 mill increase over the 1966 levy of 18.40 mills. "This means that the taxpayer will pay $2.06 more per $1,000 assessed valuation than was paid in 1966," the out-going auditor said.
